What’s your go-to coffee or tea drink?

At home, I usually make coffee in a French press and drink it black. I weigh the beans and the water with a digital scale so it’s perfect every time - it has become sort of a mid morning ritual. When I go to a coffee shop, I like to order a cappuccino with either a little bit of sugar or honey.

Which marine animal deserves a shout-out? Why?

I have always loved seahorses. They’re so weird and wonderful. They don’t have stomachs, so they have to eat almost constantly in order to stay alive, and they’re unique in the animal kingdom in that male seahorses incubate the eggs and give birth. Plus, have you ever seen how they swim? They look like something a little kid dreamed up. I love that they exist.

What are you listening to or reading right now?

I’m currently reading The Overstory by Richard Powers.

Favorite shows or podcasts to binge?

Some of my go-to shows are Arrested Development, Scrubs, New Girl, and Workaholics. I’m currently working through the new season of Righteous Gemstones and it’s hilarious.

It’s Saturday at 2pm - what are you most likely up to?

If it’s nice outside, I’m probably at the farmers market or going for a hike with my boyfriend. If it’s not nice outside, I’m either playing with my cats, taking care of my houseplants, or baking something delicious.
