In partnership with the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) Association, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Association Coastal Ocean Observing System (MARACOOS) invites you to a reception celebrating 20 years of coastal observing and data products that have boosted economic growth, informed ocean management and policy decisions, and protected residents from coastal hazards.

As we gather to honor MARACOOS' two decades of groundbreaking contributions to ocean observation and research, we also celebrate the overarching impact of IOOS on advancing our understanding of the ocean environment and its critical role in shaping our world.

IOOS Regional Associations are the nation's leading resource for community-driven coastal, ocean, and Great Lakes information. For 20 years, MARACOOS has supported the development of tools that protect coastal economies, ecosystems, and the safety of nearly 80 million people from Cape Cod, MA to Cape Hatteras, NC.

Join us for an evening of celebration, appreciation, and forward-looking dialogue as we acknowledge the collective efforts that have propelled MARACOOS and IOOS to the forefront of applied ocean science and innovation. We are excited to commemorate this milestone and reaffirm our commitment to harnessing the power of ocean observation to protect people, property, and place.

If you live, work, or play in any coastal or Great Lakes region of the U.S., you’ve been served by an IOOS Regional Association. Come celebrate with us!
