Washington, D.C. Thursday, September 30, 2021 — ESP Advisors today announced the promotion of two senior company leaders: Martha Newell-Kinsman to Chief of Staff and Kat Montgomery to Policy Director. Both appointments are effective immediately.
In this newly created role as Chief of Staff, Martha Newell-Kinsman will oversee the firm’s business practices and will be the primary point of contact for ESP’s clients going forward.

I have full faith and confidence in her abilities, and am pleased to have her as my right-hand person at the firm,” said Emily Patrolia, CEO. “Martha will be my proxy in all things relating to ESP Advisors, and will serve as my voice when I am not available.”
“I’m excited to take on even more of a leadership role as our firm continues to grow,” said Newell-Kinsman.
Martha brings leadership and experience from the military, Capitol Hill, and the non-profit sector to her work at ESP Advisors.
With this promotion, Kat Montgomery will lead the policy team and manage deliverables for the firm in her new role as Policy Director. Prior to joining ESP Advisors, Kat was a Knauss Fellow for Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS) where she led on fisheries and ocean legislation, including updating and reintroducing the Advancing the Quality and Understanding of American Aquaculture (AQUAA) Act.
